Udipi, holy town of Krishna Matha
Lies on Arabian Sea coast of Karnataka
Sri Madwacharya, renowned religious reformer
Krishna bhakta,  dreaming Krishna ever
Hear story of Krishna travel from North –west   Dvaraka
Krishna shows how He pleases Bhakta
Krishna, Son of Vasudeva
Mother Devaki’s  Paramanada
As a child Krishna, on Devaki’s lap climbs over
Playful tantrums of Krishna, Devaki’s   pleasure
Broke the churn of butter, Devaki  used to churn butter
Smears butter over His body all over
Devaki   pushed to laughter
Rukmini, Lord   Krishna’s consort
Mischievous deeds of Krishna enjoyed best
Began worshipping Krishna deity idol   regularly
Later Arjuna   placed Krishna deity idol in Rukminivana
In course of centuries, deity covered with clay
Remained in  Dvaraka  Rukminivana collecting dust and clay
Sailors of a ship loaded the rock like clay hard
And wanted to use it as a    ballast
Sailed from North -west Dvaraka to South on Arabian Sea
Encountered a tempest near Udipi
Sailors tossed about in misery
Madwachrya, composing Dwadasanama   verses
On his way to sea bath noticed Ship in distress
Waved his cloth towards sailors
Sea calmed down, obeying to his appeals
Ship stabilized and sailors out of woods
Sailors from ship thanked Madwachrya for acts good
“Please have any - thing you desire from the ship”
Madwacharya pointed to the ballast as his wish
Madwacharya carried the lump of clay ballast
It was of course hard to walk fast
On his way the clay ballast broke into two
At once he could see Krisna deity visible too
His joy knew no bounds
Lord he loved close to his chest, a miracle sounds
Madwacharya thrown into ecstatic state
With happiness clinging the lord to his chest
Walked four miles to Udipi
Enshrined lord Krishna in his Math happily
