DURGA
Durga , universal mother of Hindus
Giver of strength, protection, courage
She is associated with destruction and wars
Navaratri is a nine day festival
To celebrate in honor of the divine feminine
Concludes with tenth day , Vijaydasami,
Victory of good over evil
Durga removes fear of Samsara
Giver of all auspiciousness
Compssionate , full of helpfulness
Bestower of Dharma ,Artha, and Kama
She is Narayani, take refuge in Her
Your sufferings do disappear
Durga in multi forms you appear
Removes from us the elements fear
Durga when pleased with your devotion
Destroys the rest of worldly diseases
If not satisfied , your aspirations and wishes
Remain as aspiration and wishes
Oh Goddess of three worlds , I pray to you
Mitigate all our distraction
Your grace destroys our inner enemies
So says Durga Saptha Sloki
