CRICKET

CRICKET

Cricket the game of eleven

Has all blessings from Heaven

The choicest sport among millions

Riding alike on rags and rich citizens

Oh the Cricket watching fever

Goes on with young and old for ever

And at homes and on roads alike

Our heroes shining with bat and ball they like

Victories in matches that you bring

Millions of heart with joy they sing

Defeats inglorious that you face

Begins the analysis of disgrace

Ah at news channels, offices and cafe bars

Critical analysis of lack luster stars

And Pops up waiting players in race

Expert specialists begin to trace

Cricketing minds in matches certainly excels

Where the art and heart of a champion dwells

With a spirited heart and soul

From the run up you bowl

With the application of body and mind

Back swing of the bat you unwind

With agility on the field you stretch

Holding catches victories you fetch

Cricket matches are of three kinds

Exhibiting abilities of different kinds

The thriller twenty twenty

Has runs scored in plenty

Looking at targets set by opposition

Reply initial overs with inhibition

Up comes the five slog overs tense

Attacking fours and sixes over the fence

To the cheering spectators delight

With national feeling faces bright

Their cheering throats full of belief

Heroes get victory to their joyous relief

Fifty overs per side one day matches

Expectations from slog over players

To entertain the awaiting crowd

That cheers them aloud

The test matches are of five days

To show the techniques with grace

For one is not in time race

So plan and play with desired pace.

Professionals in other fields envy you in excess

For the laurels and rewards for your success

Oh cricket the game of uncertainty

You seem to be a game of eternity.

GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE

GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE

My heart brims with delight

At the Golden Bridge sight

Clad in international colour

View the Suspension bridge’s splendour

Bridge weathering high winds

Natural surrounding nicely blends

Global visitors on pathways

Sweeping view of city they gaze

Pathways on either side

Approximately five feet wide

Provides options to our taste

Walk bike or skate

CROOKED STREET

CROOKED STREET

Oh starts at Hydel street
In the Russian district
Lombard the most crooked one
In the world to match none

Traffic on forty degrees incline
Descends slowly on zigzag line
Taking sharp turns eight
To the drivers delight

Begins at Hydel Park the thrills
Draws out the drivers skills
And soothing to his eyes
Flowers and shrubs on either side lies

SPRING

SPRING
Spring queen of four seasons
Season of rebirth, renewal, regrowth presents
Nature with new life , new spirit all around
Youthful, brimful of hope astound.

Nature in beautiful gown green
Throbs with new life, in new smiles seen
Wilderness a thing of past
New life to eyes delightful, lovely feast.

Melting of snow, sound of flowing rivers
Birds soaring high, nature in exquisite colors
Fresh, sweet, bright and blooming
Delightful, lovely , sweet and charming.

Flowering buds of varying scents
Perfumed wind caressing faces
Wind singing lullabies
Resting birds in nests to sleep

Multi-hued tulips, wonderful fragrance of hyacinths
Forsythia yellow , lilies perfumed pleasant
Nature enlivens hearts
Anxiety becomes a thing of past.

Melody of chirping birds among thickets
Tunes of humming birds delight begets
Bees collecting honey over flowers many
Wing their way each time to their hives laden with honey.

Look up at azure sky overhead
Green carpet beneath feet spread
Run, laugh, sing with joy
Nature in all its glory enjoy.
